Origin Capital Kiwifruit Fund 3

Origin Capital Partners is seeking to raise $75 million from wholesale investors for the Origin Capital Kiwifruit Fund 3, which will invest exclusively in New Zealand’s kiwifruit sector, including kiwifruit orchards and Zespri shares. The Fund aims to establish a portfolio of orchards throughout Bay of Plenty and Gisborne. It will invest through the purchase of established orchards, development of orchards from bare land, and conversion of orchards from Green to SunGold. The Fund will retain the flexibility to invest in Green and RubyRed orchards also. Up to 20% of the Fund's capital will be invested in Zespri shares.

With a long term investment horizon, the Fund has been designed to build a diversified portfolio of orchards in established growing regions where the team has significant prior investment experience.

OCP is seeking to raise $75m of investor capital to invest exclusively in the Kiwifruit sector. As with Funds I and II, Fund III will give investors exposure to this excellent industry through investment in high quality orchards and Zespri shares. The Fund will establish a portfolio of high-quality orchards throughout the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne. It will do this through the purchase of established orchards, development of orchards from bare land, and conversion of orchards from Green to SunGold. It is expected that most of the Fund’s kiwifruit portfolio will be SunGold kiwifruit, however the Fund will retain the flexibility to invest in Green and RubyRed orchards also. Additionally Fund III will seek to make a meaningful investment in Zespri shares, of up to 20% of the Fund’s capital.
