Our Directors

Dominic Jones
Managing Director
Dom is a founder and the Managing Director of Origin Capital Partners and combines a professional background in finance with lifelong personal involvement in the New Zealand kiwifruit industry. Prior to establishing OCP, Dom had a career in banking, including five years in London specialising in the sourcing, structuring, and execution of complex and large debt transactions. Dom returned home from London to establish Origin Capital Partners and successfully fundraised for Origin Capital Fund 1 and 2. Both Origin Capital Fund 1 and 2 are now among the largest kiwifruit enterprises in New Zealand. Dom leads the OCP management team. Outside of OCP, Dom’s other roles include: - Director at DMS Progrowers Limited, an orchard management and post-harvest business - Director at Zealafoam Holdings Limited, a sustainable packaging start-up business - Trustee at Waipuna Hospice Foundation, the investment arm of Waipuna Hospice, a local charity providing specialist palliative care services in the Bay of Plenty - Forum member at New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers Incorporated - Member of the New Zealand Kiwifruit Industry Advisory Council.

Lain Jager
Director
Lain has an extensive record of leadership within New Zealand agribusiness, notably with Zespri from 1999-2017. He initially joined the company as Human Resources Manager before becoming General Manager of Supply Chain in 2004. In December 2008, Lain was appointed Chief Executive Officer, a role he held until 2017. During Lain’s tenure at Zespri he oversaw the successful commercialisation of the Zespri SunGold™ Kiwifruit variety, the doubling of grower returns, Zespri’s market capitalisation grow by eight times to more than $1billion, and the industry recovery from the bacterial vine disease, Psa. Today, Lain is involved in a range of projects in tourism and agribusiness. He is a director on several boards including: - The a2 Milk Company - Zespri Group Limited - Nibblish - New Zealand Avocado Oil - Ārepa - Acts as a strategic advisor to a small number of companies. Lain was Chairman of the Primary Sector Council that delivered the ‘Fit for a Better World’ report, which was released by the New Zealand Government in July 2020.

Paul Jones
Director
Paul has a forestry and agriculture background and has been extensively involved in all aspects of the kiwifruit industry for more than 35 years. In 1989, Paul established DMS Progrowers Limited (DMS), a post-harvest business that provides orchard management, picking, packing and storage services to the kiwifruit industry. Today, DMS is one of New Zealand’s largest post-harvest and orchard management operators, and Paul is one of New Zealand’s largest kiwifruit growers. Paul was previously a Board member at Zespri Group Limited for eleven years, and Deputy Chair for four years, finishing in 2025. Today Paul holds numerous governance and ownership interests within different partnerships and commercial operations throughout the wider horticultural and agricultural sectors, including ownership interests in the forestry, dairy, beef, and apple sectors. Paul sits on the Investment Committee responsible for evaluating OCP's kiwifruit investment portfolio.

Craig Greenlees
Director
Craig jointly founded DMS Progrowers Limited with Paul and is joint Managing Director. Craig has an extensive background in corporate governance, finance, and operational management, particularly within agribusiness. Craig served as a director of Zespri Group Limited from 1999 – 2014 and was Chairman of the Board from 2002 – 2008. During this time with Zespri, Craig oversaw the growth of Hort16A (the first ‘gold’ kiwifruit variety) in global markets, as well as the subsequent transition to the Zespri SunGold™ Kiwifruit that drives the significant profitability of the industry today. Craig was a founding member and served as Deputy President of New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers Incorporated, and also assistd in forming the New Zealand Kiwifruit Advisory Council, which caters specifically to the financial, tax, and regulatory aspects of the industry. Craig is a member of the Origin Capital Investment Committee.

Kim Wallace
Independent Director, Chair of Audit and Risk Committee
Kim has both significant experience and passion for the New Zealand primary sector. Kim has held a number of directorship positions since 2012, with Audit & Risk Committee chair responsibilities from 2014. Other current governance roles include: - Chairperson of Te Manawataki o Te Papa Limited - Deputy Chairperson of the New Zealand Institute for Bioeconomy Science - Director of Port Nelson Limited - Member of the Advisory Committee – O’Connor Partners Limited. In addition to the above, Kim has built a governance consulting practice that draws upon her significant experience and passion for good governance and executive leadership. Her current engagements include working with the New Zealand Transport Agency – Waka Kotahi as an advisor to their large, complex transport projects. Prior to her career in governance, Kim held senior executive roles within the dairy industry including CFO at Westland Milk Products, VP Finance at Fonterra (USA) Inc. and Deputy Finance Manager at Fonterra GMbH in Hamburg, Germany. Additionally, she served as an executive director on the boards of Dairy Industries Jamaica Limited, Easiyo Products Limited, and Westland Milk Products Shanghai Limited.

Our Independent Investment Committee Members

Dylan Barrett
Dylan is an investment committee member for all Origin Capital Kiwifruit Funds responsible for assessing and reviewing all kiwifruit investments. Dylan is a Registered Valuer and Director at Preston Rowe Patterson, specialising in commercial and horticultural property valuations with a particular focus on kiwifruit. His insights, backed by access to current market data and trends, support the assessment of orchard values and acquisition strategies for the Fund. Dylan also holds several governance roles within the kiwifruit industry. He is a board member at EastPack Limited, one of New Zealand’s largest post-harvest operators, and serves as Deputy Chair of the Tauranga Community Housing Trust. His combined experience in valuation, governance, and orchard management provides valuable oversight and practical expertise to the Fund’s Investment Committee.

Robbie Mayston
Robbie is Origin Capital Kiwifruit Funds responsible for assessing and reviewing all kiwifruit investments. Robbie is a third-generation kiwifruit grower and director of Bruntwood Farms Limited, one of the largest privately owned orchard management companies in Bay of Plenty. With more than 20 orchards under management, Robbie has established a reputation for achieving industry-leading orchard gate returns for growers. He is actively involved in innovation within the sector, including the early adoption of kiwifruit digital traceability systems and participation in Zespri’s international research initiatives. Robbie brings deep operational insight to the Fund’s Investment Committee, particularly in orchard operational performance.

Dylan is an independent member of the Origin Capital and Greener Pastures New Zealand Investment Committees responsible for assessing and reviewing all kiwifruit investments. Sam Wood
Chief Financial Officer
Sam Wood is the Chief Financial Officer at Origin Capital Partners, responsible for the operational and financial management of the firm’s investment funds. Since joining OCP in 2021, Sam has helped lead the development of key fund processes across capital management, investor reporting, financial systems, and internal controls. He works across all funds, supporting the execution of new investments and ensuring day-to-day operations are well structured and managed. Sam has over 12 years' experience in funds management and banking. He holds degrees in Law and Finance from the University of Otago.

Andrew Livingston
General Manager –Kiwifruit
Andrew Livingston is the General Manager of Kiwifruit at Origin Capital Partners, responsible for the operational performance of the Fund’s orchard portfolios. He oversees all aspects of orchard development and management. Andrew joined OCP from EastPack Limited, where he held senior regional and grower engagement roles across the Bay of Plenty, supporting some of the country’s largest kiwifruit and avocado growers. Andrew brings commercial and operational expertise to the Fund’s on-orchard strategy. He was a Board Observer at EastPack Limited in 2025 and completed Zespri’s Industry Governance Development Programme in 2022. Andrew holds a degree in Agriculture and Agribusiness from Massey University.

Danielle Coughlan
Financial Controller
Danielle (Dani) Coughlan is the Financial Controller at Origin Capital Partners, overseeing the financial administration and reporting functions across all investment funds. Since joining the firm in 2022, Dani has been responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting across the funds. Dani brings significant experience from her previous roles in both the public and private sectors. She began her career at Deloitte in Auckland, followed by five years at Downer. She then served as a Management Accountant at the Bay of Plenty Regional Council and later as a Financial Accountant at Quayside Holdings Limited. Dani holds a degree in Management Studies from the University of Waikato.
